How You’ll Make an Impact:
The Engineering Coordinator will provide technical support to the Flat Stack value stream (Step Lap & Shunts) and ensure accurate, efficient, and high-quality technical outputs for production. This role is critical in bridging client design requirements with operational execution while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

How You’ll Make an Impact:
The Engineering Coordinator will provide technical support to the Flat Stack value stream (Step Lap & Shunts) and ensure accurate, efficient, and high-quality technical outputs for production. This role is critical in bridging client design requirements with operational execution while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Job Responsibilities
- Interpret client design drawings, specifications, and core cutting configurations, translating them into actionable work instructions.
- Review outputs from the vetting process for completeness and correctness prior to release to Operations.
- Collaborate with Operations on continuous improvement initiatives to enhance technical outputs.
- Assist with troubleshooting programming issues on cutting lines and Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM).
- Oversee Authorized Plant Trials (APTs), ensuring clarity of requirements and adherence to procedures.
- Identify and mitigate risks, omissions, and discrepancies in consultation with engineers.
- Create Engineering Master reports for client designs using JSC’s ERP system to detail manufacturing and quality assurance parameters.
- Provide backup technical support to other JSC value streams as needed.
- Actively participate in continuous process improvement projects.
- Manage and control assigned projects and their targets.
What You Bring to the Role
- 1 or more year of hands-on experience on the production floor.
- Relevant post-secondary education (e.g., diploma in engineering technology or equivalent).
- Strong technical interpretation skills for design drawings and specifications.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and technical documentation.
- Problem-solving ability for troubleshooting programming issues.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to risk identification and mitigation.
